Born 1988 in North London, Naomi Jasmine’s love for music developed at a very early age. Growing up, Naomi was surrounded by a musical family and was introduced to a huge mixture of music from Soul/Jazz/Funk to Alternative/world and classical. As well as performing at various talent shows at school, Naomi was apart of numerous choirs, including a gospel choir. From about the age of 13 she started taking her songwriting seriously, and went on to sing with various musicians. In 2005 Naomi joined a group called ’Yoka’ - a North London based group of musicians who together experimented with various genres of music to produce new sounds by fusing funk/soul/jazz an afro beat together. She is currently gigging with her funk/soul band in spots around London, and can be found on www.myspace.com/Naomijasminemusic.
